When I am not teaching you will find me exploring the world we live on and trying to leave each place a little better than I found it. I have helped build houses in Haiti, helped to tag turtles in Baja and teach the broader community about these magnificent animals, and I have worked at an orphanage in the Dominican Republic. In Bali, I fed and clothed the community that lived in the garbage dump, and when my nephew was born in Turkey I went and learned about the beauty of that part of the world. In college, I spent a month studying abroad in Spain and visited the vast continent of Europe and Asia. My more recent travels have taken me to Iceland, which was a bit of a more personal trip; my honeymoon. This past summer I traveled around Ireland diving into the depths of my husbands heritage. No Matter how far I go, I know come August I will excitedly step back into room 3 ready to share my adventure and life lessons I learned along the way with my students. I love teaching children. I love learning about each individual student in my classroom and guiding them on their path of becoming a life long learner and awesome human. I love helping kids to believe in themselves and understand that they can make a difference. I hope I make an impression on my students as a teacher who listens, teaches, and more importantly cares. I truly appreciate each child in my classroom and aim to help and guide them in any way I can. It is a true blessing to walk into my classroom each morning and an even greater gift to be able to teach your children.
